Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: April 26, 2026

Prospektr™ is a B2B prospecting tool. We expect customers to use it ethically and lawfully. This Acceptable Use Policy spells out what you cannot do with the Service.

Prohibited activities

You may not use the Service to:

  • Send spam. Outreach must comply with CAN-SPAM (US), CASL (Canada), GDPR (EU), and any other applicable anti-spam laws. You are responsible for honoring opt-outs and including required disclosures in every outbound message.
  • Harass, threaten, or defame.Don't use leads surfaced by Prospektr to target individuals for harassment or defamatory content.
  • Resell prospect data. Lead lists exported from Prospektr are licensed for your own outreach; you may not repackage or resell them as a database product.
  • Scrape, mirror, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond what its public APIs explicitly permit.
  • Bypass rate limits or quota controls.
  • Submit malicious payloads (XSS, SQL injection, credential-stuffing attempts, etc.) into any form or API.
  • Use the Service to compete directly with Prospektr (e.g., to build a lookalike prospecting database for resale).
  • Misrepresent your businessin cold outreach. Don't send emails impersonating brands you don't own.
  • Outreach to consumers. Prospektr is a B2B tool — contact only businesses, not individuals at personal email addresses.

Required practices

  • Maintain a working unsubscribe link in every outbound email campaign that uses Prospektr-sourced leads.
  • Honor opt-out requests within 10 business days at most (CAN-SPAM requires this).
  • Identify yourself or your business clearly in outbound emails and include a physical mailing address.
  • Use a sending domain you own and have configured for proper SPF/DKIM authentication.

Enforcement

Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund. We reserve the right to investigate and cooperate with law enforcement when warranted.
